• Raga Megh/Megha is one of the most primitive Ragas of Hindustan Classical Music. It finds mention in Vedic scriptures whereby, allegedly, this raga was played by the damaru of the Hindu God Shiva when he tried to protect another Hindu God Vishnu while the later was carrying the Govardhana mountain.
